A high-level team comprising Dr Ariel Pablos-Mendez, Assistant Administrator, Bureau of Global Health and Mr Robert Clay, Deputy Assistant Administrator USAID/Washington along with Ms. Umme Salma Jahan Meena, Program Management Specialist, USAID/Bangladesh visited Sylhet clinic and a Satellite clinic at Khadimpur union on January 18, 2011.

The team toured all sections of the clinics and interacted with service providers and customers. They expressed their satisfaction over the activities in terms of ANC care, safe deliveries and lab services. They were impressed to see that the clinic was achieving 88% cost recovery with services to 43% poor customers. They also visited one fixed satellite spot at Khadimpur union and observed the activities of the clinic. This satellite spot is housed in the office of Union Council.
